This project was for Mike from The Naked Nutrition Network. Mike wanted a plugin that would increase the usability and community involvement of his comments. He had been using IntenseDebate and wanted a self-hosted solution that imitated IntenseDebate’s style.

Requirements

• Usable on any WP 2.7 theme
• Automatically styled the threaded comments
• Imitates the IntenseDebate style of comments
• Thumbs up/down comment voting
• Registered users get “community points” by commenting
• Logged in user notice displaying link to edit their profile, logout, and displays their total community points

This was a great project that went smoothly. As you can see by the image below, the transformation looks great. It’s a no configuration plugin. Just activate it and it automatically changes the theme’s comments to the plugin’s styling. Mike’s been a returning client who’s always enjoyable to work with.
